There are a couple people, I think on here, that have them.

I've experienced it on a stock 997RS and a 500hp 997RS and it sounds awesome. Well worth the cost if you want to make some noise !!

Sorry to revive the topic, but got my RS back yesterday: winter tyres (well PS2s) and serviced (fault less) smile

Now thinking i'd be stupid selling it for a CStradale - Fcar wouldnt be able to cope with my high mileage, and and would definitely not do for surfing trips: no roof rack available!

So...how do i get a higher pitch tone from the exhaust, without changing the entire thing: bypass?

Also, by fitting a bypass - isnt my engine gona show up a "fault" light or something? would this affect the lambda sensor readings or whatever?

Where do you guys source Sharkwerks/EuroPipe from here in the UK? What was the cost?

Would these prevent you from doing trackdays?

fantastic sound, very fezza-esque!.. great fit & easy diy install, didn't need to remove rear bumper, altough i do have access to a ramp.. not that much louder at cruising at 70mph over standard, its the initial bark thats the killer!

Which bypass exhaust is that?

Have you pulled the plug out with the bypass on?

I wouldn't imagine so given this in the blurb:

"With the factory exhaust valves still in place, you can drive with sport mode ‘off’ for quieter, daily driving, but switch it on and a much more aggressive sound fills your ears. The Muffler Bypass System does not guarantee any crude horsepower gains, but rest assured you won’t have heard the GT3 sound like this before! "

It all makes sense now, he bought his wife a nice handbag and she agreed he can keep the RStongue out

You are probably okay for the Nurburgring, maybe Spa and circuits running on a rare unlimited day (there are a few in the UK, but neither many nor cheap). That is probably about it. Stock is marginal for 101db days, so if you remove the only silencing on that (which will be the case with the bypass valves kicking in from the middle of the rev range upwards - well before the minimum for a static test) it is going to frankly be miles too loud for the majority of UK track time.

Hey Cal, hows you? Yes that must be it. Or he realised the CS would fall apart if he drove it like it should be driven smile

there is a cheat to get the bypass valves to stay closed all the time and thus reduce noise at 3.5k rpm +

on rennlist somewhere.

yes it's a sharkwerks pipe with titanium tips.. installed it will not be eligible for uk trackdays.. it can be switched very easily & quickly.. also as Colin states you could get away with it over in Europe.
