Nürburgring/Spa Francorchamps this weekend

Anyone else about?

I'm heading over on the 'Party Boat' from Hull Saturday night - socialising TF at the Ring on Sunday afternoon before heading over to Spa for the Circuit-Days track day on Monday.

It'd be nice to meet up with any PH'ers - I'll be at the Ring in my old Mi16 and Spa in a 997RS - stop me and buy one . . . . . . . . .

I'm going to Technoclassica Essen on Saturday, will be at TF at the Ring on Sunday and around on Monday. Am sure we'll bump into each other there at some point.

Am leaving the car in Germany to have some work done on it, flying back from Cologne Monday night. Very tempting though.

Party boat? More like prison hulk! I am never, ever going on that again. The floor would have been more comfortable than the bed.

A boat full of pissed up British men in nylon football kit... eurchh...

Unfortunately its cheap, and also the closest to both the 'ring and Spa

I'd rather take the run to Calais though... but I don't live oop North.

I'm based in Coventry and for convenience you can't beat it. Hull is closer and to be frank, much easier than navigating M1/M25 traffic wise. If you need to do a days work before heading off it makes sense. Coming back Monday night via Eurotunnel though - again because we've only got Tues/Wed to get straight before heading off to LA thursday

On the boat - Langans for dinner, couple of drinks and a much needed chance to get the team together for a chat before bed. Less road miles to the Ring from Rotterdam too. Accommodation is sufficient but you do need to try and spec a Premiere cabin if there's more than 2 of you sharing.

If I were further south it would be a different matter

I've never ever considered anything other than the tunnel run.

I'd rather pooh in a spiky bush than cross on a ferry.... Bring back hovercrafts and proper 1st class I say!!!

All being well should be there on Saturday late evening for Sunday TF and then Spa on Monday. First track action of the new year; looking forward to it. See you there Darren.

Spa was typically epic for all sorts of reasons - and the Ring Sunday was strangely quiet too?
