As per the title, am I likely to get much of a discount off a new car that has a new model coming out soon?

Have you read any reviews of the current B?

As a minimum: http://www.broadspeed.com/new_cars/Mercedes-Benz/B...

Try making the dealer fully aware of what an appallingly bad attempt at a car the B class is and they may offer additional discount out of embarrassment.

Bartering isn't the same as haggling.

I'd only give you a banana for a B class. Hateful cars.

I've read lots of reviews of the current B-class. I've also driven it. Have you? It's a good car. Perfect for SWMBO

Compared to standing at the bus stop it is. Compared to other, cheaper cars it's just a bit pants, and shows the owner is a clueless badge snob.

Furtive - don't listen to the drivellers. It's nothing more than a PH myth that there anything wrong with latest A-class and B-class provided you (a) get a sensible transmission and (b) don't spend too much money on it from the options list.

Merc are keen to be selling vehicles right now so I'll be staggered if you can't agree a suitable price. I'd have a look at "nearly new" cars as well. There's often more margin on those so also more scope for discount and you will still get balance of warranty.

Don't worry - I'm not listening to them. I know they are good cars as I have actually had experience of them rather than reading about them on the internet.

Am looking at a petrol B180 CVT but want the panoramic roof and leather - seem to be hens teeth nearly new

Have you tried contacting the Mercedes Benz direct group (http://www.mercedes-benzretailusedcars.co.uk/), they're wholly owned by MB rather than franchised and when I bought my car from them 2 years ago were much cheaper and more willing to discount than the franchises.

A lot of their cars are ex-staff cars, which have to be kept in good order, not smoked in etc, they didn't have what I was looking for on the website so I called them with my requirements and they 'pulled' a car to fit within a week.

Worth a phone call surely?

Ignore the stupid comments saying not to bother with it, very obviously written by people who haven't driven one.
