Anyone know what the best stuff is to use for resealing the back of a G-Shock after battery replacement?

Mine's a battered but trust G-100 which now steams up if used when swimming (doesn't really get flooded though). The metal backplate was sealed up with some very crusty black sealant before I changed the battery but i'm not sure what you're supposed to use before refitting it.

You should try and source the correct caseback gasket I've seen some casebacks sealed with PFTE plumbers tape not recommended.

Andy do you have the full G-100 case back numbers?

Thanks

It has 2327 in a box etched on the back along with G-100.

Didn't realise it was a gasket!

Bry, are you supposed to grease them a bit too ? Or is that just overkill ?

A smidging of grease isn't a bad idea as it helps reduce gasket pinch or the gasket from moving out of place prior to fitting case back.
