Xbox 360 / hdmi / dvd problems.

My mate has the same tv, same xbox(we think) - mine is the arcade anyway.
Mine plays dvds and games no problem, while his only plays games. If you put a dvd in the screen starts flickering black and a thing comes up across the bottom saying 'hdcp link not found' or something similar. Does anyone know what the problem could be? All I could find on the internet is that the tv and xbox arent compatible, but mine works fine and the whole set up is the same so I dont think this can be the case.

Im just interested to find out what it is because we couldnt figure it out!

Thats what I thought, he said hes tried another one on it but I might bring mine next time.
And I would have thought (Im no expert) that if it was a dodgy lead it wouldnt have worked for the games either!

HDCP is the copyright protection used on films. Could be the lead, could be the TV playing up.

Try another lead, if that doesn't work try a different HDMI socket on the telly.
