Ah, 16"s are too small for the M5. Am looking for a cheap set of 17"-ers that I can fit with winter tyres this year.

I had some old wheels from my MX5 hanging around. Invest 30 mins in giving them a clean, take some photos and stick on ebay with a 1p start and no reserve. I did this and a week later a chap turned up at the door with over £200 cash in his handed.

Someone somewhere will want to pay you for them.
