I remember entering a dual carriageway driving my old 240bhp Cupra, and a Z4 was behind me with the roof down. He pulled to the outside lane and I floored it, fully expecting the Z4 to go backwards.

I didn't realise the 35i had over 300bhp.

Truly served, fecking passenger even scrawled a note on some cardboard for me to read as it pulled level. It then proceeded forward with much vigor and a blue flame from the exhaust.......

Never had my arse served, I am aware of what most cars are running stock and what power levels are available through tuning, therefore if I think the car is going to blow me in to the weeds - I simply dont bother.

On the other hand, I was driving my 450bhp Cerbera once and had to work very hard to shake a Vauxhall Nova from my tail, the same Nova had also given a local 996 Turbo I know of a good run to 140+mph. Never did find out more details about the car...

Young, cocky and a bit thick, many moons ago.
Two up on my Fz600, filter to the front of the queue at a set of lights, next to a guy and his wife in a 190 merc. Lights change, and the Merc and me go.
Quelle surprise, it was a 16v Cossie effort. Had to slap the clutch to get the revs i didnt think i would need. Level with his window, front wheel a fair height up, not really getting passed him. Had to turn off at next lights to hide my shame.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth I was a biker with a BSA Super Rocket 650cc
alongside me at the lights was a blue and gold Mustang with "Mustang Dragster" and "Boss Mustang" written all over it, I had never heard a cammy V8 before and thought it just sounded rough...............the lights changed and with a roar and two black streaks of black rubber marks left in its wake he left me for dead as I rode through his smoke!

I later read that he was a Portsmouth garage owner who would always win his class at street car Santa Pod!
