Afternoon guys and gals.

After a very early start we have passed the dreaded IVA without issue.

One minor modification required, tilt headlight upwards a fraction.
Quite strange really after the uphill struggle for completion.

The IVA really wasnt as bad as made out.

Update over, im going for a lie down!!!!

The examiner seemed a fan of the cars, commented on how good the kits are from Ultima compared to all of the other manufacturers. He was helpful and wanted it to pass, whereas i expected them to look for anything to fail it on.

He drove it on part of the test, then got out with a huge grin and said, the tail soon lights up doesnt it!!!!!!! Git!

I popped stright across the road to the DVLA to register here, and await a date for my DVLA check (pointless check).

Im now in the process of cutting back the gel coat and loading with high quality wax and sealers. How very sad.

Big Thanks to Steve who joined me today, moral support is wirth its wait in Gold, and Kyle for helping me with a very nervous phone call on the way home.

HUGE Grin, I drove to and from the IVA test so i did take a gamble especially as we tested for all of 2 miles prior to the test.

I didnt expect the rain when i woke up, and the windscreen wiper wasnt brilliant, but no scary moments on the way.

She drove like a dream, even with the larger wheels very very compliant. Looks bloody awful with raised suspension for the test and no spoiler.

I do have a confession, driving back home afterwards i had been tootling along blipping the throttle now and again when it occurred to me - this car isnt that fast!.

So i waited for a nice open stretch of road and pushed alittle harder, when all of a sudden i noticed a green light on the aim dash!

Well as it happens that green light was the first light on my shift light setup, indicating that i hadnt barely touched the gas enough, so as you would expect in a billionth of a second after realising i had a huge amount to go......Yep you guessed it, foot planted, 20 40 60+ in the blink of an eye. Followed promptly by brake hard....Recath breath, stop smiling so much people think im high, and off i went again.

FUN TIMES AHEAD.

Hi Mark good to see the car has passed and nice to read the larger wheel and tyre combination are very compliant, best looking Ultima on the road now, just make sure you look after the wheels, I will PM you the tyre pressures that should be checked every other week... happy motoring and don’t forget to send me some high resolution pics... ENJOY
