Scamera or ANPR van?!?!

Darn it.

Went past a white van in a layby on the a452 Dual carriageway this afternoon, with cameras in the metal above the back doors, and a police car in front of it.

Was doing about 80/83 I think.

Anyone any ideas if this was either a scamera or ANPR?

No bright smiley gatso faces on the van, or warning signs prior to it that I saw. Didnt see it till quite late due to traffic in the inside lane....

The police car in front of it makes it more likely that it was ANPR. Scamera vans tend to be unaccompanied.

Yep it was the big Renault one......

Interestingly on www.smilecamera.co.uk ffs it says that they were operating on the A452 yesterday so guess i will have to wait and see.

I sometimes wonder though why the police put so much expensive resource into helping collect the government's tax........
