Another What Car Thread

Sorry guys, I know these are tedious.

Am thinking of getting a 2nd car to compliment my current dream car.

This is mainly to do the shopping run and trips of that ilk.

I'd like something a bit different that the standard eurobox.

I would like something that be insured on a classic car policy.

Budget is £2k, relatively reliable and cheap to service. Fuel, couldn't give a toss, I'd also prefer a British car but that's not a priority.

And no to an MX-5.

Currents thoughts have been a 90's Jaaaaag XJ (don't think this'll qualify for classic insurance)

Classic mini

A triumph of some sort.

Would love a mk1 escort but that's way out of budget.

What else could I consider?

cheap running costs, I'd also have to say the usual MX....

Should have said in my original thread, not keen on verts.

Don't like the MX anyway, hairdressers cars if you ask me
