My drivers door won't latch. The handle on the outside doesn't spring down, it actually springs slightly upwards. If I sit in the car and pull the door to, then use a driver to push the outside hadle operated latch plate out of the way, I can operate the button lock and get the door to stay closed.

My guess is that a couple of springs have sproinged, but I can't fathom the arrangement, and I'm really reluctant to dismantle the lock mechanism out of the door if I can avoid it.

Any ideas?

Yep, door card off, I've already soaked it in plus gas and wiggled things around to free them up. I'll get a head torch into the other side today and see if I can spot the differences.
