Hi all,

I'm ashamed to say I've had my 320d for about a year now and my 330ci for a week but I've not yet had either serviced at a main dealer. I always service my cars very regularly at independants mainly due to me normally owning higher'ish mileage cars etc

However, I would like to 'treat' them both to a proper BMW service and get the service lights reset etc.

My question:

Does inspection 2 cover everything covered in inspection 1 + some more stuff, or do they both look at completely different things?

Inspection 2 covers everything in Inspection 1 + a few more checks.

I wouldn't bother checking them into BMW though...use an independant specialist and save a few quid.

You can reset the service light though very easily if you wanted to service it yourself:

If you have been using an independant garage that cannot reset your service lights, I would find yourself another independant because if they cannot do such a straightforward task, I would be suspicious of their capabilities doing the important part......like servicing it!!

Ive just been taking the 320 to the 'local garage'

They seem very friendly and have done good work so far, they just arent very high tech there it seems

I will aim to find a BMW specialist in the area when the next service is due
