I was speaking with a seller of a beautiful Spirotechnique over on TZ a while ago, and made an offer to purchase the watch. Sadly I missed his message back to me saying "ok" as I was in bed with man-flu, and by the time I got back to him, he had sold it through eBay.
I saw a few weeks later a Spiro come up on eBay and contacted the original seller on TZ to see if it was his old watch - it was.
Having never bought something of relative high value off of eBay I contacted the eBay seller - a decent bloke, made an offer, transferred the cash and it turned up this morning with spare links, green NATO and a spare movement with white date wheel which I am thinking of swapping back in.

A stunning watch in incredible condition. I love it.

Was that James's or RLE's?

Aye - RLE sold it on eBay - James bought it. Now it's mine smile

I think that's the first Tag I've looked at an instantly gone 'like'.

Very nice and, as you say, nice little story behind it too. Don't let it go wink

Lovely looking watch that, congratulations. It reminds me very much of a Seiko SKX - bezel, hour markers, winder position.

Do you mind me asking what the rough ball park is for one of these?

If you took the Tag logo off it could easily pass for an old Seiko, not that that'd be a bad thing!
