Raceline 17's & 888's

I have a set of 17" Racelines that i want to fit a set of Toyo 888's or similar to. The Toyos that I have seen have various compounds listed, which is the one to go for, to & from trackdays & trackdays themselves only. (Still have the spiders for all year round).
What size is the recommended choice? I presume Fronts 225/45/17 and Rears 255/40/17

I think you mean 235/40 R17 for the fronts rather than 225. I've got a set of GG / 2G - Medium compound on RL17s and they seem to be the business!
I haven't tried any other compounds mind, but they warm up quickly even on a cold track and I've been amazed at how long they have lasted; my rears are still looking good after 2 trips to Spa / Ring and a few other UK trackdays in between!
And on the road they grip better than my T1Rs in anything other than standing water.....although trying to get back from APM in the snow / ice in December was....interesting! Not sure how you correct a sideways slide at 1mph
