Peugeot 206 issue

Hoping this will be a bit of a simple one but it is really starting to annoy me. My FMIL has a 1.4 Auto that has started playing up. Sometimes it wont start. Sometimes it will lock/unlock after 10 odd presses of the c/locking button. It's not consistent so I can't really tell what triggers it. The battery in the fob is fairly new, the car has been serviced and it drives without showing any issue. Any ideas?

It's French. It's giving you (or her) the automotive version of a Gallic shrug of the shoulders.

It will work when it pleases, and not before.

Turns out it was the battery connection. More specifically, the positive cable. It was loose. Replaced with a new cable.


Stupid car.
