Having a quick flick through, it seems not many keep their ownership log updated - on purpose or just forget?

I think it's pretty useful coming to buy or sell a car to have the history known.

With the recent talk of values, the more people that understand that these don't cost fortunes (but aren't cheap) to run, the better surely?

It's mostly that I can't be bothered. My service history is available for any potential buyer to see anyway. I will also tell anyone how much something cost me if they ask.

I'm the same as Trefor, I did it for my old Chim (see profile if you want) but have been too lazy to do so for my T350. If I were to sell it then yes I'd probably do something about it but I also have stacks of receipts for any prospective buyer.

I do it mainly to keep records for myself, although it scares the life out of me to see how much I've spent on it!

I do it with mine but for my referance so I don't have to dig out the information from filing cabinet.

Never thought it would be useful to a new buyer! Due to no intention of it being sold. Hopefully my Daughter will want it one day but she is only 2 now smile.

Just had a look at your comprehensive breakdown Mattt and realised why I don't do this. My running costs are approx the same but my mileage is way lower, result is it must cost me about £5 a mile, which is somewhat depressing.

idea Note to self, must drive it more and get the average down.
