Carbon MTB Frame
Discussion
Ok, so i've been reading the carbon frames made in China debate and its prompted me to look at utilising all the bits on my Orange 5 (which are in perfect working order) and moving them across to a race xc frame for the summer.
But which one... there's a few out there?
Got to admit I have no need for one but what i ride atm doesnt really warrant a full susser although is a great do it all bike and it be nice to whip round apposed to trundle.
So options please.

Is it the ones from china your interested, like off ebay, personally i wouldnt trust these frames.. when it comes to carbon I am nervous as hell, for the last year and a bit i have been riding the Trek Top fuel 9.9 full sus, and i am always nervous about is spliting in two on a fast downhill bit.
If it was me, I would only be looking at bikes like the Trek 9.9 HT, maybe the Scott scale RC etc etc, these are 2.5k though..
I wouldnt feel safe on one of these ebay frames

Like sparky, I'm very wary of carbon frames. I've heard so many horror stories and unless you are spending a small fortune then that are actually not much lighter than a decent Alu frame. I think if I were you and you wanted something really smooth and fast, but could take some abuse without the fear of killing yourself, i'd be looking at a Ti frame.

Definitely not looking at the cheaper end of the market. But the Ti frames could be a good shout and i've always wanted a Van Nicholson frame as they are really nicely put together.this lot do some decent carbon frames
