Electrical noise (maybe) and Inconsistent Heater Blower
Discussion
Whilst sat in my newly purchased Tuscan in the garage the other night trying to work out how the stereo system works I noticed a strange irregular clicking sound coming from somewhere behind the dashboard at the passenger side. No biggy but today I’ve just noticed that the heater blower in my Tuscan is blowing at different speeds without touching the control knob! Don’t suppose these two things could be related? Anyone got any ideas before I start meddling ??

Good chance its the heater ecu, pins burn out on all of them! mine did last week
.Underneath the passenger carpet under the dash is the heater ecu, small black box un plug it and look at the pins if they are burnt where its arched ring Electroversal Ltd in luton send it to them and they will fix it for about £40.

Hi I had the same problem with the heater ECU..burnt pin..and having a never give up nature I took it apart and found the solder contact for the dodgy pin..I decided, with a nothing to loose attitude, to heat the solder contact with a soldering iron..touching all the wood I can find at the moment its been perfect for a few weeks now..my heater fan wasn't working at all..
You can solder a new bit of wire directly to the earth connector on the board and then bullet connect this to the wire on the loom. The reason why they burn out the pin is because TVR quite rightly put a big earth cable on there but didnt put a bigger pin on.
I took some photos of my Dads handy work and will put the up later.

could be the heater motor has gone if not the ecu, wiggle the heater ecu because sometimes there maybe a loose connection in it when plugged in, but if the heater motor has gone it sits under the passenger side of the scuttle panel in the engine bay in a black box so you will need to take the bonnet off.

Heater ECU I think others have called it. Its the small square thing that has 2 black capacitors on it with the 4 pin plug on it under the dash on the PS side
Shep
Heater ecu has many mor ethan 4 pins, its a metal box with a multiplug and it has a pcb inside with integrated circuits mounted on it. Shep
