With a mediocre 11.3, then 3rd run of the day bust a drive shaft, still pleased with the terminal. Shows some promise for that 10.xx?

Was that a standard driveshaft or a beefy one?

That's flying, with a good start that should be well into the 10s I'd have thought.

Yes, its the beefy one, but..
Raceproved have improved the design, i have snapped two now, but have one of the new ones in, they did ask me to fit two, but my new extension (House! smile )
has left me feeling a bit skint, so i only changed one.
But fair play to them, when i snapped the 1st one they redesigned it straight away, its the only time anyone has snapped one, they were surprised!

Brummie, you not thought of designing your own shafts? Sounds like the standard Cerb setup can't handle the torque your engine throws out.

I'd rather snap a driveshaft than break the diff... wink

Am i correct in assuming you are now running Mickey Thompson Street ETs?
The level of grip from these tyres once the car is set up properly is getting close to the levels of slicks.
Some respect has to be given when dropping the clutch.

133.4 is evidence of more than enough power for that elusive 10.
At this level also the manual gearbox will be wasting valuable split seconds.
I guess a sequential box would shave a few tenths off at least but its a lot to spend.

If you dont run that 10 soon then i have a feeling somebody just might at the pod shootout.

It's not a drag car, so I am running 888's. It's an alrounder, so I like to do alsorts with it, be it drag/trackday/speed etc, I also use it on sunny days, even call on customers, I've done over 20k in her so far, so I'm not putting drag boxes in, or hacking it up to make it a funny car! Plus I don't have a hooge budget, I've always sourced parts carefully and adapted to fit, all part of the challenge! smile

Glad to hear it.
I must admit i didnt improve my mid 1.8 60 foot times when i tried the MTs over the 888's. The 888's give more grip than the drag racers give credit for.
The theory with the MTs is that the soft sidewall will allow for a bigger footprint on launch. They are road legal but you can feel them move quite a bit when cornering.
I always recommend the 888's to people as the perfect allrounder.

Do you alter your suspension settings at the track?
I am looking forward to playing with the settings on my new Nitrons when i get to the track.
