Removing old oil stains from the drive

Anyone got any decent tips for removing old stains (ie soaked in)?

I've heard of using brick acid, WD40, setting fire to it (!) and all manner of other stuff. Anyone have any decent tips before I totally ruin my drive

It's York stone, if that matters. Jet washing doesn't shift it.

Put down washing powder, brush it around and then leave it. It will gradually soak up the oil and when it rains it'll wash it all away. Works on fresh or old oil stains and requires almost no effort, just takes a few days/weeks.

Ta - will give that a whirl first before trying other chemicals...much easier
