How load in car

Wondered what exhaust systems you are running.Im on the original back box with de-cats at the mo.The car sounds fine to me except for the rattle from backbox.While at Dulfords today they mentioned the sports pipes they sell there,so am just wandering what they are like to live with on the road.Had a really noisy system on my last car,which sounded peachy but i must be honest on a long drive it did become lets say.Any views on these systems will be welcome.Had a good long run in her today and it was so nice just cruising with a soundtrack of lets say medium level.But and theres always a but,the kid in me may want a deeper sound track if push came to shove;)

Had linked decats and sports back box - loved it, although it was not a big bore system so it didn't boom, if i'd kept the Cerb, i'd have had the RaceProved system fitted - straight throughs with a 2.5" centre section, and 3" tails to give 120 dB and flames

From the description, I think this is what is on my car, if not then it's certainly similar and exhibits all of the above traits. It's epic! Can't stop tickling the throttle to give a bit of....

Whats it like on the motorway bud,this is where i want a bit of comfort for the old lobes,when we went away in my last motor you could barely hear the sat navhence i want to be careful how mental i go with this one

fECK me sideways that sounds good,the problem lies in the fact that there is a chap with ear defenders near the car:say no more eh.Fancy letting a 45 year old kid hear that on a sunday.

Yeah it is a bit on the extreme side, goes off the 124db mark on the sound meter at about 3/4 max rpm. I have the std back box for more normal driving

AHHHH so you have a sensible side Am really stuck now.Need to get a sound that is deep and meaningfull.The old yanky v8 sound is a good one,and ours kinda sound like that but a bit more not so layed back,if you know what i mean.God have i got issues

My backbox fell to pieces so I stuck on the stainles sports tails from TVR Power. It's also decatted and hence LOUD. Sounds ace though. On the motorway its OK if you're just cruising but as soon as you put your foot down it is pretty (very) loud. A friend of mine says it sounds like a thunderstorm hahaha

LOL that last bit made me really laugh"Thunderstorm hahahaha".I have concluded that the sensible answer will not come from this forum.Right then where do you buy cotton wool on alloy arms so i can fit this to the seats,four bits needed in total

5th gear, 3000 RPM, 80mph (indicated): quite acceptable, you can have a conversation without a problem, although you do have to raise your voice a little more than normal. Put it this way, I'd be upsett if my Audi was like this but I'm off to Le Mans in it in June and I have no concerns about cruising down there. If however the route to Le Mans was 400 miles of Stelvio Pass type roads it would be another matter!!!

^^^^Exactly this, if you can resist stamping on the accelerator every 20 seconds, then motorway cruising is just about possible - also the noise in the video clip can only be achieved by un-linked decats and sports tails, my linked decats didn't give this sound, it was loud, but nearer 115dB as opposed to the 120+ some of these systems are putting out.

Mine is sports plus unlinked decats and its reasonably quiet round town and at idle.
But once you get over 3 or 4K it starts to really bark:

Actually the noise in the clip was achieved with linked de-cats and straight through pipes
