Hi all,

As I am nearing the end of my build (with some help from the boys at Autobionics!) I need some insurance. Just got a quote from Classic Line at £917. Hagerty, CCI and Adrian Flux have all failed to get back to me which doesn't bode well! I will chase them next week.

Just wondering if you could let me know your insurance company and the cost. Is it still the case that Hagerty have become expensive as mentioned in other posts? I am 38, insuring GTR with 600 bhp. Not too bothered about track days as I have an old Davrian racer which is far cheaper to repair! It would be good to hear your thoughts please!

Cheers,
Mart

Hagerty not insuring Ultima at all. I checked this week.
I went with CCI last year for about £550, just waiting for renewal notice now.

BTW when I received my first reply from Hagerty, the young lady explained that our 'Nissans' were not holding their prices. NISSANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I corrected the young lady but they till aren't insuring Ultimas.

Last time I spoke to Dave Spragg at MSM their underwriter was taking ULTIMA GTR's on again. Maybe worth a call!

Thanks for the advice chaps. Sorry, but who are MSM? Do you have a website / phone number for them?

Many thanks,

Same for me. Even after my large (huge!) claim a few years back the premium has steadily fallen.

Boring for repeating myself, but avoid AF, they ignored factory advice on repairing my tree-squashed ultima, and then 2 months later asked for a renewal of nearly double.

Id better get the cheque in the post quick then..haha.

Im sure it will depend in the area you live in too..

You get extra discount as Im a member of a car club and if you have a race licence..I also opted to increase my excess too.
