Flipping heck - confession time.

Just updated my spreadsheet after selling my CWC this week & the "stats" are a bit shocking really.
Whilst I have several long & longish term keepers, in just over 3 years I've sold 59 watches.
Of those, I owned just 1 for over 3 years, 2 for over 2 & 3 over 1 year. 16 went between 1 & 3 months & 9 lasted less than a month.
The average period of ownership is just 23 weeks.
The buying numbers are obviously even higher
I've just called for the nice men in white coats to come & take me away.

That is quite alarming. I have been the opposite of you, Andy. I have been unable to let much ago at all. I think I have passed three on in as many years. Two I gave away and one I sold via the classifieds here.
I am now thinking that I just have too many watches and really ought to sell some soon, especially if they are not getting any wrist time at all. I also have a surplus of straps that probably won't ever get used.

Spreadsheet...
I bet it's got pictures and links to the classified it was sold on.My method is :
She buys shoes : Buy a watch
She gets a new coat : Buy a watch
She gets a hair cut : Buy a watch
She has a birthday : Buy her a watch
She has a new watch : Buy a watch.
Guilt free, and no need to fire up Exel everytime you get back from the post office, having chatted to the staff there you know by first name.
Its actually quite scary isnt it?
I hate to add up how much i've lost from buying & selling watches. I have this idea that i NEED this Grail or that Grail. Then I sell it after a few months of non-useage.
Best not to think about it too much. Modding cars is like that too. I've lost a small fortune in flipping cars the way i flip watches. Tsk.
But "you can't take it with you" as they say!
