Decent (cheap) MX-5?

Am I asking too much?
In a word no, for that price it might not be cosmetically perfect, but concentrate on the important things - rust, solid sills and arches, and a watertight hood, as they're the expensive things to sort.Mechanically they're fairly bulletproof, oily bits are easy/cheap to work on, I've renewed lots of parts on mine and whilst I'm fairly handy with a spanner, I have no mechanical background and only a basic selection of tools - don't be put off by high mileage if it's been looked after.
Mine is going up for sale in the next few months, but has been SORN'ed over winter so has no tax or MOT at present, when I've given it a good service and MOT I'll PM you the details in case you're still looking.
