Understanding MOT tester....? New forest area
Discussion
I have a hillclimb prepaired Puma which is now due and MOT. Its in good condition and should pass except for the fact it has a four branch manifold and complete stainless exhaust with no cat...
I have seen a sports cat i could then weld into the system but it just adds to the cost of what is ment to be a cheap car.
Does anyone know any understanding MOT testers in the new forest area, it'll have to b resonably local as the mot is now out
Maybe best to PM direct if anyone has any ideas?
Cheers
Dan

You mean you need a tester to produce a fraudulent MOT document for you?I have seen a sports cat i could then weld into the system but it just adds to the cost of what is ment to be a cheap car.

No, not a fake MOT, as i said i wondered if there would be a tester who would overlook the lack of cat. The exhuast could of been replaced at any time.
I understand this isn't strictly by the book but as i said it happen. I've worked in the motor trade for over 10 years and have seen this happen regularly. This mot garage is at the other end of the country though.
Its not like its a safety issue and the car will only cover a few miles a year. Plenty of people fit cat replacement pipes.
I guess i'll get the welder out

It might hurt if you ever fall of your high horse.
I always thought it was something that was fairly common, my skyline has the same emissions as a nissan micra, apparently.
I don't think "falling of your high high horse" is the issue here, it it the comedy value of somebody posting a request like this on a public forum, especially from somebody who claims to be in the "trade"I always thought it was something that was fairly common, my skyline has the same emissions as a nissan micra, apparently.
Comedy genius.
