Picked Up My 430 Today.
Discussion
From Meridien Modena today and after a 130 mile trip home all seems great. Car is a black 430 F1 was very well presented and the service there was first class.
I need to get used to the F1 paddle change and I'm sure that will come with a little practise(tips greatfully received), I'm wondering do you people drive around with the sport mode on generally?. Not my first Ferrari I had a muanual 360 previously but this does seem in a different league.
Are there any exhust modifications similar to the 360 valve mods, the 430 sounds fantastic at higher revs but lower down is a bit tame.
Cheers

I've posted this a few times now but It's my list of F1 tips to help clutch wear that seems to work for me. Had my car just over a year, done 14.5k, had 6k when I bought it so now on 20.5k with 36% clutch wear on original clutch.
- Don't use auto mode
- Always Drive in sport or race mode, snow and wet modes slip the clutch more.
- When reversing, blip to get momentum, don't ride the pedal. Avoid reversing uphill
- Nice smooth getaway when moving off, allow the clutch to fully engage without too many revs
- Flip to N when coming to a stop at a light, I don't go down the gears, I just go straight to N from the gear I'm in.
- When in slow moving traffic, allow some space in front so clutch can fully engage.
- Avoid aggressive launches
- Don't use Launch control
John.

The Ferrari 430 is a truly epic car.
I leave mine in Sport all the time. You'll find less gremlins in the 430 compared to the 360 and overall so much better made. I'm sure you're already appreciating the wonderful interior of your new car.
There are sports exhausts out there for 430's but very rare.

Regarding clutch wear, the clutch is only good for 4 launches, so stay away from Launch Mode!- Don't use auto mode

Congrats, looks superb in Black.
O/T I'm impressed you got good service from Meridien, they were not interested in talking to me, even though I had made an appointment! You must be far more presentable than me.
