MB service history

I'm presently looking at an SL500 from a MB dealership. I know you can get service history of when a car was serviced and with whom, provided it was within the MB dealer network, but is it possible to get details of what additional work may have been carried out by a dealer as well? I'm just thinking to try and find out if there were any ongoing issues that had to be sorted over a period of time.
