Hello there.

As you can gather from the title i am the dreaded 30 in May and I really am feeling it in the training department. At 20 i used to go out for a run and feel fresh from start to finish. These days i feel drained from the word go.
I don't know whether to put it down to me getting on or what. Is there anything i can do to put the 'zing' back in my training (i only do about 5km and a few press ups and sit ups).

Many thanks in advance for any help.

I'm 30 and feel great! Probably even better than when I was 20!

If you're not feeling good, have you assessed your diet and general state of health? Do you have bad habits like smoking/alcohol?

I think you probably need to reassess your overall health if you're not feeling good.

My diet and alcohol are well in check. I think a contributing factor is that i work 3 x 12 hour day-shifts followed by 3 x 12 hour night-shifts with 3 days off completing the cycle and it is killing me! All for sub £33k before tax would you believe.

Ha. I didn't do any sport or training until I was forty. Fifty next year and feel better than I ever have. Seriously annoyed I didn't discover fitness strength much sooner in life. I blame crap teachers in the 70s. shoot

I fully believe the average wage on ph is higher than the national average but anytime someone even mentions earning less than 100k there's almost a whip round for them.

On topic I play 5's today and was completely gubbed after 5 minutes no idea why not usually an issue.

If it makes anyone happier i kind of stumbled onto buying shares about four years ago and if a few things line up nicely looks like i could be alot better off and not need to work my current gash job. fingers crossed.

I honestly can't even put into words how much i despise my current job.

I am literally only in it at the moment whilst timing my departure. It was looking like i was trapped and then it all kind of come together. Never thought it would come off and it hasn't yet so best not count my chickens etc. But I get a mental erection every time I ponder the possibility of leaving. It's ste.
