Seat Leon Cupra R (new 265)

Quick question for the people who might own a Cupra R 265 ...

1) Average fuel consumption ? (evo are getting nearly 30 so is this realistic ??)
2) Remap - Revo et al ... any recommendations ?

1) Low 30's is achievable on a long run. Drive it like it's meant to be driven and you will average around 25mpg.
2) Revo quote 310bhp and 300lb/ft for a stage 1 map. Same as the standard Cupra, Golf Ed30 and S3. The extra power is certainly noticeable. Revo charge £500 +VAT though so not cheap.

MPG is painful- circa 24MPG. And it will cost more because they like to drink of Optimax.

Remap, REVO are good. I went for Superchips on my 240 as they're less agressive. I came away with just shy of 300bhp & a really good flat whack of torque (340lb ft) from 2500rpm up to around 5500rpm.

ETA, I found it almost impossible to drive it economically 'off boost'. If you drive it hard, don't be surprised to see 15-17MPG (and bald front tyres ). I timed mine back from the Midlands to Cornwall at the speed limit & I got 24MPG.

I had a remap done on my old Cupra 180 a few years ago. It was a Revo one and done by the Seat dealer. I assume that this is still the case and the warranty is nto affected by a stage 1 ?

I think some SEAT dealers do offer Revo upgrades, but not all. I think they're listed on the Revo website.

Revo's warranty supposedly covers you for the items you invalidate on the manufacturer warranty, but I wouldn't want to test it!
