Evening

I seem to be suffering from a bit of sciatica, it only seems to happen when I sit down and then stand up, it lasts for about 20 seconds. Once I have walked around it's OK.

I am fine when standing and waking, it just happens when I stand from sitting down, it is affecting my left arse cheek and the back of my left leg.

Apart from not sitting down, which would be impossible, is there anything I can do to get rid?

Cheers

depends what's causing it mate. do you do any regular sports, if so, what? do you get any pain when coughing or sneezing? what about if you lie flat on the floor and lift your left leg slowly off the floor, gradually increasing the angle until you can't raise it any further (keeping your leg straight)? if you do, roughly how far off the floor (angle-wise) until pain. any pain upon standing up and bending forward to touch your toes? not a great deal of tests you can do on your own to be honest hehe

almost impossible to diagnose over t'internet, and therefore offer any real sound advice.

Ross.

I'm off work with it at the moment, see your Doc before it gets any worse. Take it from me who had to go to A&E last Friday with the pain.
