Hi folks,
Currently writing my CV and I noticed something prospective employers may pick up on.

My time at uni is 2006-2011 for a Bsc Hons, this seems like a long time and may give the impression I have failed a few years, this is not true.

I did a HND from 2006 to 2008, then I did a 3rd year to gain a BSC, in 2009 I did a placement and I have just finished my diseration only last month which means I will graduate with a BSc Hons in July.

At the moment I've just put it down as 2006 - 2011 Bsc Hons (Expected 2:1, HND Bridge Course) but would like to hear some peoples opinions.

Was all the time spent at the same institution? You already have a valid qualification (HND) in addition to your expected one (B.Sc) so why not just do this:

2008 - Present: University of X - B.Sc Hons. Subject Y - Expected Result
2006 - 2008: University of X - HND Subject Y - Result

In your employment details include your placement that interleaves with the 2008-present period at uni and mentions it is a placement. The reader will know this explains extra time during the period you appear to have been in education.

Yes its at the same university. I like the way you have laid it out, but I thought I may have been over complicating it (less is more so to speak). I suppose the fact that ive gone from a HND to a BSC Hons shows I am willing to push myself further.

I did a degree and a post grad certificate at the same Uni and keep them separate on the CV. Just as long as you keep it to 2 pages of A4 or less.
