Help! Choirs

Calling on PHers as the font of all knowledge.

An aged relative wants me to source some choral/choir music - an area about which I know slightly less than bugger all.

I think she wants hundreds of Welsh tennors singing Men of Harlech (?sp) that type of thing. But she might also settle for more basic standard classical choral singing.

Again, HELP!!!

Any knowledge rather than pot luck would be much appreciated.

For choral stuff have a look at religious music by any well known composer really...

Handel Messiah for example (and many, many other oratorios (basically religious opera))
Bach B minor Mass
Mozart Mass in C
Beethoven Mass in C

Personally I love Requiems (Mass for the dead), sounds miserable but some are very uplifting

Verdi
Britten War Requiem

If you like lighter stuff, try some of the classic FM specials like John Rutter and Karl Jenkins (The Armed Man).
