After wanting one for ages I finally purchased a 3 door GTI in red and I'm well chuffed. It's an 05 plate with lowish mileage but most importantly it's a minter unlike a lot that I have seen

I think i'm going to remap it as I thought they might of been a little quicker but that's about it.

Anyone else got one driving

Does need pics.

Still on my list of cars to own one day.

AFAIK they really benefit from a remap. Enjoy.

I read the article in Evo a while back about a remap from Morego

They seemed happy with the results.

Now, get some pictures up. Preferably with custard wink

Don't forget to declare the remap and watch that premium spiral though.

Nice cars, there on my next car hit-list, the Monza alloys really set the car off nicely IMO.

Still fancy one of these to replace the Trophy - would need to be a 5 door for me though.

I've noticed that too on a lot of recent threads.

I had a three door White gti with leather 18s and xenons. Gj05xkx where are you now? It was revo'd to run on super duper,255bhp if I remember. did the ring twice and got smashed hard in the rear but fixed to perfection.
Great car but crap on fuel around 300miles to a tank I think, traded for a merc a200 cdi as the dealer shut up shop(st georges) and I couldn't bear to take if to the aholes in canterbury, go sniff around gtiforum, a great bunch of folk.lots have Fred in a shed service history so look carefully.

Nice!
My opinion would be to debadge it, but I'd also have a more subtle colour (customers don't need to know wink).

Obviously not the most important part but, what kind of miles will you do with it and what's the mpg?

Not too many approx 8k p/a. It's averaging about 36mpg at the moment so not too bad.
Still made up though biggrin
