Squat rack for home (Advice please)
Discussion
I'm looking to buy a squat rack for my home gym and been looking at getting a Marcy SR50 as I'm never going to be lifting massive weights (not my goal) so would this be adequate? Or any better reccomendations for similar money.

Found it for £120 other places though.

That looks good, I went with one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Infiniti-Adjustable-Squat-... which doesnt have spotter bars, and Ive had a few moments where Ive wondered if I can complete the squat!! Always managed so far, but catchers would be nice.
The quslity of the one I got is average, very sturdy, and lowers to use for bench press as well, however unless you're a shorty like me you'll be dropping quite low to lift it off for the squat as it doesnt extend particullaly high, so whichever one you go for, get a tape measure and measure it out fully before buying.

I bought one of these a while back: http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf375-...http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marcy-SR50-Squat-Rack/dp/B...

Little bit more expensive, but so much safer if training alone, and more versatile than a squat rack.
Cheers for the alternatives guys, the first one looks as though if I had to put it down quickly it could be a problem or may even tip over wheras the second one looks amazing. Trying to keep it under £150 as have won a prize in work I get to pick any item from any shop up to £150 so was trying to get them pay for it haha.
Might just bite the bullet and buy the power rack myself though as does look alot safer. Will have to measure though as it's gotta go in a sloping conservatory gulp.

I have the next one up, the 475 - excellent piece of kit. Click.Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
