Griffith footwell vents
Discussion
Can anyone tell me where I can get some of those flappy vents that went in the footwell sides for my Griff 200?
I have one completely knackered original and two chrome ones. I need good ones that I can paint some colour as car as per original. Options would seem to be to strip the chrome from the replacements or to look for new non-chrome ones.
Any ideas?

the complete automibilist ones are not the same as original. they are close but if you look at the griffith ones you will noticed that they are curved. the pattern ones are flat. they can be used but do not folllow the curved contour of the body as well as the originals. if you can carefully strip, clean polish and re-plate your originals then that will be the way to go.

That's interesting, I'll compare my one original one with the later copies.
Any ideas what car they came from originally? I saw these: http://www.classiccarama.com/classic-car-parts/adv...

I'd just glass them in as most racers do.
I had some that the previous owner (restorer!) had acquired - they were fairly close to the orginals (tad bigger) and I think from a Rally car. But I decided pointless in the end (I'll just get hot - + much heat shielding of exhaust footwell area. Have one crusty original as well.
What no. car is yours? Any pics?

I'll probably stick them up on a site later this year once most of the major will be roughly fitted.
