Car is here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2678988.htm

I'm looking at taking the Ferrari plunge and don't know who to trust / where to buy from, but I do know the spec I want. Just wondered if anyone knows or has been to look at this one?

Feel free to email me offline too.

Anyone?

Is the price about right?

Also just wondering if 6 owners is a lot. I would be keeping it 1-2 years and need to keep resale in mind!

Thanks smile

Looks a nice car, sports seats are a major plus, price seems about right and 6 owners is not unusual. Karl Verdi has a good reputation, doubt you'll go far wrong there thumbup

Don't think you can go too far wrong with that spec and history if the condition is good. Sports seats, challenge rear grill, manual and capristo is PERFECT.

If condition is good for a 15 year old car I can't see that one hanging around too long

I agree with the comments posted - Karl has a very good reputation and the car appears to tick all the boxes. Price looks good to me (mine is very similar but a GTS) Good luck!

If I hadn't bought mine I'd be seriously looking at this one.

Looks like a nice car but for that much folding, I'd be looking at a 360.

Thanks all smile

I've had the 355 / 360 debate in my head for months, and I just think the 355 looks stunning where the 360 is a little plain. I have no doubt the 360 is nicer inside, is faster and probably more reliable though!

I assume you've driven them both to see which one you prefer?

Verdi is the only Indy I would trust when buying a supercar... Karl is amazing.

Looks like a good car, Verdi get excellent name.
Sport seat option is rare and desirable on 355.
Number of owners not a problem (you talk of keeping only 1-2 years so if in the past this was the case the car would have nearly 8 by now wink )
Go get test drive and pull the trigger if car is rightthumbup

Agree with aboveand F355 will hold its money a lot better as well if you are not putting a lot of miles on it.

The 360 didn't do it for me compared with the F355 hence I've recently added a F430 F1 spyder to the collection.

The F355 GTS with Capristo still is the best sounding car ever and gives a real sense of occassion to drive.

If you don't buy it you may live to regret it as they are fantastic cars and a future classic so should be an appreciating asset. Won't be able to say that about the F430 even though its one of the very last with total spec inc med racing seats

On another note, what's a 355 with a Capristo 1 like for doing a European tour? I sold my Exige S due to bleeding ears biggrin And was hoping the 355 isn't too loud when you don't want it to be?

Absolutely fine, did my european road trip in the summer (well, at least the first 10 days of it....) in the 355 with a step 1 Capristo. Wasn't loud enough for me so when I had the unexpected opportunity to switch to a step 2 for free, I did. To be on the safe side, I wouldn't go any further than step one cappy and decat to start with (decat for the fun popping and burbling, and a little extra volume). Step 2 is significantly louder when the valve is closed (as it's supposed to be), same as step 1 with valve open. I don't find the sound intrusive at all even with the roof down at low-ish speed (at high speed, it's basically covered by wind noise when cruising), but it does make you much more conspicuous to others as it seems a lot louder from outside the car than in, you only realise just how loud when you enter a built up area/go under a bridge etc even just pootling along smile
