For a non moded 4.2 what sort of bhp
Are you getting , then decat ones

Have a look in your previous thread, there were a few answers in there and a plot from Austec. I take it you have had a dyno run? what were the results? Might take mine along as I'm interested to see what it makes for a late 4.2

Mine made 349bhp before Jools played with it, it was decated though.

Yes mate.

Did a good job.

I've done a 1/4 mile at York, Fighting Torque & Vmax in it since, and it's performed well.

And saved me a fortune in oil

365.5 after a play by Jools mine is an early one 1996 well pleased with the output.

Forgot to add Linked-Decat pipes sports pipes and Jools mod on the inlet manifold takes a lot of the excess material out to allow better air flow.

346bhp unmodded from new. Not bad for a 97 car with 40K+ miles
More now it's been Joo'd

360bhp from a '97. Had the Joo mods and decats and sports exhaust. Can't remember what it was when he got it but was alot lower, made worse by a cracked manifold which he sorted before getting down to work properly.

Strangely enough, 346bhp for me as well, with 326 torques, dynoed at SRR with young Sinclair and Fubes. AX 22 confirms 9.2 to 100mph, and 150 in 22.03, with the standing Kilometer for reference at 22 secs dead at 149.9mph. Took me 8 goes to get decent figures though!!

I can't really remember

I think it was put down to worn piston rings.

The symptoms was obviously the high oil usage, most of which was to be found on the back of the car above one of the exhaust pipes

On a hot trip to Italy, I think it was using a litre every 250 miles, so that was the final straw

shes not back from Austecs yet but paul rang to say all looks good, did first dino run and got a poor 328 bhp,
so hes going to de cat her and remap and let me know .
i would love more BHP so i can big it up but in real honesty im looking for a better drive at low revs and some noise, as the car stands ive seen the clock at 170 so its fast a nuff for me , if it can come of the line quicker great ,im pissing my pant happy with her all the time .
its 60% car and 40% mad fool at the wheel that counts or is that the other way round

shes back ,the sun out ,yeeeeer
drives like a dream a lot smother at low revs ,and feels more responsive very happy,
de cats sound the dogs pops bangs o what day its going to be .
Bhp when it went in Austecs it was 328.9 now de catted and re maped shes got 363.9 and 302.8 of torque
very pleased going out for a Big Blast around.

Paul at Austec has done a very good job well happy and at a fair price
12000 service ,tappets ,cam timing ,de cat, re map £1400 ish
