Mk4 Mondeo Lumpy Idle - Help!

Hi all,
Just bought myself a Mk4 Titanium TDCi Mondeo that has covered 26,000 miles.
Only picked the car up on Saturday and when pulling up to a set of lights on the 10 mile home journey, noticed that the idle suddenly became very lumpy. The revs had not dropped, just felt like either timing was off or it was 'missing' slightly. Anyway, the problem went away so put it down to one of those things.
Unfortunately, it returned today and started doing it at every stop.
It's really bugging me! Any ideas what it may be?
