Details that spoil a good car
Discussion
I don't know if it's just me being an old skinflint, but there are certain cars that I have perceived to top quality that have, on closer inspection, turned out to have some pretty poor quality details on them.
Two examples I can think of immediately are the drivetrain tunnel in a Cayman S, made of plastic I would expect to see in a Daewoo, and that ridiculous extending arial on the XKR. Am I just being silly and expecting too much, or are the manufacturers cutting corners?

How about the 2 fake exhausts on the Lexus ISF Ferrari California?
Another is the crystal starter button thing on Aston Martins. I've not driven one but someone I know once lost it in the back of the car when it popped out like a rocket when he pressed it to stop the engine.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
