Restaurant recommendation Cork

Off to Cork for a Business meeting and potentially taking clients out tomorrow night, any good recommendations for decent restaurants in Cork?

What are you looking for, and how much to spend?
There is a great place called Strasbourg which does 3 courses for 30 euro. Sounds shoddy, but it's really good. Nice atmosphere and good service, steak was great.

If you fancy something different, there's a vegetarian place called Paradiso, was very impressed with their food and again lovely service.

My disclaimer is not having lived in Ireland since 2003, but worth checking them out.

I asked a friend of mine who was living in Cork until a couple of months ago, he recommended the following restaurants :

Just saw ur post , I live in Cork. What do you like food wise, and how much do you want to spend ? Cork is good for food. When ru coming ?

I agree with the above and would add Soho for rare Burgers and on a totally different note try The Ivory Tower, v good cooking that I like. My no 1 choice. Outside the city try the Rising Tide in Glounthane, O callaghan Walsh at Weekends in Rosscarberry and Man Fridays or Fishy Fishy in Kinsale.

Thanks all for the suggestions. We ended up in a place called Market Lane which was ok. The Yanks who were there enjoyed it.

I'm back there next month and will try and get to some of the suggestions.
