Anywhere good for baby car seats in Aberdeen/Edinburgh?
Discussion
Went to mothercare tonight and not convinced I was getting the best advice regarding isofix & baby car seat fitting in general i.e. the bird in the store didn't know her arse from her elbow. Is there anywhere with good, knowledgable staff in Aberdeen or Edinburgh? (based in Aberdeen but going to be in Edinburgh on Friday)
Preferably somewhere that supplies Recaro ones too as it was these I wanted advice on specifically.

I wouldn't go to Halfrauds, from what I see they are staffed by idiots that neither know nor care about the products they stock.
You may have just had a thick one in Mothercare, I'd go back to them. Things like car seats should be their subject of expertise, just pick a different member of staff to talk to.

I used Halfords (in Bishopbriggs - I know not it's not near to the OP) as I'd already researched what seat I wanted and was really just looking to buy the seat and walk out. This was for a 9 months plus maxi cosi. Halfords were the best for price. To my surprise, the guy who I dealt with was excellent and really knew his stuff. He ended up fitting the seat there and then and gave a quick demo about taking the covers off etc.
I suppose it all depends on which person you get to serve you as I'd looked at another Halfords branch (Braehead) when looking for the 0-9 month seat. They managed to get the Isofix connectors stuck in the demo seat in the shop and set off some alarm. I could still hear the alarm and the two assistants arguing with each other as I left the shop!
I've had nothing but bad service in Mothercare whereas others have had good service. You might have to try a few places.
