First, last and next gigs
Discussion
Anyone want to play.
For me -
First - Slade. At the Hardrock in Stretford (Manchester). No relation to the Hardrock Cafe and was a B&Q last time I passed there.
Support was Suzi Quattro.
I was about 11 and my dad took me. Fine man that he is but I had to go and see the James Last Orchestra as repayment.
Last - Wilko Johnson at Buxton Pavilion. Ruined by dire sound quality unfortunately. Mind you with Wilko and Norman Watt-Roy on stage at the same time there was still much entertainmet to be had.
Next - Should be the wonderful Joanne Shaw Taylor at m/c Academy but, note to self, still need to get a ticket. Failing that will be John Mellencamp at m/c Apollo in July.

First: Blink 182 at the MEN Arena. Definitely one of the most memorable nights of my childhood I was 13 I think.
Last: The Used, it was the last show anyone played at the carling academy in brimingham. I've attended so many gigs there from the age of about 15-21. Too many to relist. Glad I was at the last show and even happier that it was my favourite band playing.
Next: Blink 182
Can't wait for this.

Have you seen her before? Absolutely brilliant live. I was going to get tickets to see her next month, but the Glasgow date falls on the same night as my mates stag do
Back to the thread... First Deacon Blue in 1994 (aged 10!), last was a local band called Riverside, next is Paul Rodgers.
Edited for dodgy quoting...

Second - I know you personally, but didnt know you were into cars or crap music like me ( I saw Feelgood in 78 I think, at the Free trade hall).
To stay on topic, the last show I went to was Squeeze at the Appolo, which is fortunate cos the one before that was when I took the wife to see Take That at the City stadium.
Give me a ring Gary.

First - Glastonbury 2002. My first proper "gig" was Feeder at Wembley Arena a few months later.
Last - Wombats, Hammersmith last month. A good gig but let down by the late release of the album meaning that half of the songs were new to the audience.
Next - Faithless Farewell, Brixton, tonight!

First : Shakespeare Sister
at Aston Villa .. it was a long time ago! (They were supported by JC001, the fastest rapper in the world though!)
Last : Beardyman at the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath, Birmingham... Supported by TEED and JFB, f**king awesome night.. Went on my own and danced like a loon all night! (danced so hard my watch fell to pieces!)
