I have a carbon fibre bonnet on my supra and I am getting it carbon fibre wrapped, but have always wondered what it would look like white, so I had a friend paint it white and know I am torn between the two.
Do I stay white or do I go carbon wrap?
Thanks in advance
Tommo

Just been painted so being put back together.

Have you recently front ended your car? I only ask because your bonnet seems to have changed, and doesn't look like it fits properly in the last picture, the front spoiler looks different, and the lights look different. Also why have you propped the front end up with a couple of boxes?
Stick with the all white look other wise people will just assume you're some sort of div.

Taken it all apart to be painted and fit new intercooler pipe, bonnet is bolted in at one side (not the best picture sorry only a phone) And one light has been polished when i had taken the picture Stick with the all white look other wise people will just assume you're some sort of div.

Looks like its white then.

I'm assuming you missed this bit, or more likely chose to ignore it so you could have a cheap dig.Tommo 87 said:

FWiW,it will look better in white. The rest of it (wheels, spoiler etc) aren't something i'd do but you can do what the hell you like. Your car, your money etc.Tommo 87 said:

Yeah, not a cheap dig as someone suggested, this is a car that looks good in all white.

If your bonnet is carbon fibre - why do you want to do a fake carbon fibre wrap??
If it has dulled you could have it machine polished and then clearcoated with a satin lacquer. But you're going to have to strip all the white paint off now so maybe best to keep it all white.I'm a fan of carbon fibre so it is missing the point to paint it when it's intentionally made to be weight saving. Thus to paint is to add weight. That said, carbon also looks appealing to the eye and it does suggest an amount of attention to detail, expense, and thus quality added. I'm not a fan of your type of car at all. I dislike them and what they represent amongst the enthusiasts that seem to enjoy them, but it would impress me somewhat if I saw your car with a carbon fibre bonnet. I would definitely stop and look at it, but not if it were hidden beneath white paint. Get rid of the spoiler. It does nothing for performance, which most know, so it just looks silly serving no purpose. Wheels too I'm afraid. Or at least paint the wheels carbon grey to match the bonnet!
