Need to replace the mechanism on my passenger window (S3).

Am going to call factory tomorrow, see if they can help, but most people i've talked to reckon i might have more luck trying to pick one up from a salavage yard.

Anyone know of any likely candidates, preferably in the Manchester area ?

Thanks in advance

Try Bell Hill over in Bristol, they will post the bits to you if they have them. They seem to be one of the biggest TVR breakers around!!

LeeBee has a couple... I posted recently, but the owner who wanted them had an S2 (short doors) so they weren't suitable.

LeeBee said "make me an offer" - might be worth droppig him a line...

Thanks for the link - somehow missed that one when doing a search

Not heard back from LeeBee yet, but when i do get round to tackling this job - how the hell did you get the whole mechanism out of the door ??? after you've undone the various bolts around the mechanism, is there sufficient 'flex' in the 'inner' panel of the door to allow you to pull/slide the mechanism/motor/glass out all in one go, or do you partially dismantle something first ?

would be really grateful of any tips

Cheers

If its anything like the other cars I've done this on before, you remove the glass first, normally its just "clamped" within a bit of rubber in a metal channel at the bottom.

Cheers,
Matt.
