Help my friend on her honeymoon!

...by finding me a place in Italy that will rent them something a bit interesting to drive from Florence, via Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast. It's their honeymoon.
Her wedding is sorted (they're borrowing my car to drive from church), but I'm not letting them take it to Italy with them!
I am doing the usual google search, but thought that I would mine the wealth of knowledge that is PH. And hope that I don't get a broken drill bit, so to speak.
My friend is a lovely girl, and it would be awesome to make her honeymoon that much more special with an interesting classic or supercar, rather than a rented Alfa, on the Italian leg. They are both investment bankers, so (within reason) money isn't a serious issue.

I seem to recall there were some classic cars available for hire around Sorrento, alhtough perhaps these weren't self-drive. Perhaps the option is to have a car from around Sorrento delivered up north so your friend can then drive it back down to the Amalfi coast (making it easier to hand back at the end?).
I can dig out the details of the wedding planner we used in Sorrento if you want someone local to see if they would have any self-drive classics for hire?

Not got time to google the name right now but there is a rental company I used in Garda last year. They rent to other parts of the country and also arrange tours. They specialise in alfas which include classic gtvs, spiders, 'suds and also have some lovely 500s which were fairly cheap.

Seriously, just Google it. We were originally looking at getting married in Sorrento and I fancied hiring something for a day-before-in-lieu-of-stag run down the Amalfi coast. As I recall, plenty of options came up, from the aforementioned 500s to Ferraris, with some classics in between. That said, you probably don't want to punt a 430 which you don't own along those narrow coast roads!

Thanks chap! I have been - and sending her links. Thought I'd ask for personal experiences though - if anyone said "these chaps are worth paying extra for because the cars/service is so good", that would be useful!C8PPO said:

That raises an intersting point - have the OP's friends driven in Italy before?Oh, and do NOT drive into Naples!
