Mum had one when I was younger but can't really remember It all too well, what're they like?
I'm 19 so wont be going for the V6 unfortunately, budget of about £2000 and looking for something 'better' than my stty Saxo..

Are you sure you can't afford the V6...? I had one just after turning 20, it was just a case of shopping around. If its definitely out of the question, check belts have been changed on time (36k/3yrs on the TS engines), listen out for suspension creaking and knocking on test drive, as they're notorious for eating through suspension bits. Oil needs checking frequently, a top end rattle on start up indicates a new cam variator is needed. Otherwise, they're a very solid motor, and extremely enjoyable.

You're 19yrs old and looking to buy a 156? Do you really want to pay that much on insurance?? Even a boggo 1.6TS is going to be steep me olde fruit... I'm 36 with 14yrs NCB and I pay £400 on a 2.0TS Veloce and that makes me moan like a B1tch paying that ffs.

You must have deep pockets biggrin
