Nothing dodgy...

I dislike the standard crap/rusty looking black wheelnuts.

I see new zinc plated ones on eBay for £20, and shiny stainless from Racing Green for £114.

Ideally I'd like stainless, but not for that much.

Wondering if anyone else was interested? If we can get a fair few then we might be able to get some decent prices.

Buy stainless nuts that fit jeep vehicles, they have the same 1/2" UNF thread and the correct 60deg taper. This way you avoid the 'TVR tax' fleebay from the states £45 for 16 delivered - job done, that where mine came from.

Same for locking nuts.

I looked into this and had many a CNC company price me on these (solid A4 high tensile stainless)!! They are too expensive to manufacture in small quantities so I gave up on the idea.

I assume yours are the steel nuts with the stainless caps fitted?

Cheers. Lee.

I believe so (they were propper jeep nuts I got from a trip to the States) Unless up close its hard to tell the difference infact you would have to remove the nut to see it was capped.

I like my bling but still retainig some of that northern tightness £100+ is a bit steep when there is a suitable alternative.

Agreed, although a little strange coming from a northerner who has just spent £1k+ on some fancy plastic! They are the best alternative against £100+ for wheel nuts!! Most of you know I try and make / have manufactured alternative stainless products to save us all some ££. I even have two friends that work at CNC machine companies but the issue is they are that busy they could not even stop the machines to run me a set off!

Perhaps it would still be a possibility in the future but only small numbers.

I guess I asked for that one... but in my defence with the air box there is nothing between the just functional TVR stock item and carbon sexyness complete with good air filtration. The wheel nuts on the other hand there is. What other stainless bits to you do (like a magpie I am fond of the shiny stuff too!) I have your bolt kits already.

Maybe I could put a list up on this thread and some pics? Then if anyone is interested they could let me know.

Will try and sort over the next few days, but due to the sunny weather this weekend I might be out driving it rather than taking pics of it!

I keep meaning to buy some McGard spline bolts for the Tamora. Had them on the Wedge, nice lightweight bolt/nut but with a spline socket so making them a bit harder to steal, available in shiny or black. I had to buy mine from Canada at the time but I believe Demon Tweeks now sell them.

Buy the Jeep Grand Cherokee ones from Halfords ( got mine 5 years ago now, I assume they still do them). Silver or black.

Hi all,

i went along to my jeep garage and asked about these and got some for free to finish the whole set off as i popped in to tyre /wheel shop when i was on holiday in new zealand and got talking to the guy behind the counter and asked about these.

He new his stuff and told me that cherokee nuts would fit,he was a big fan of the t.v.r he only had 16 in stock so let me have em for 10.00 dollors and told me to go in to jeep on my return.

so i did and have now got a nice shinny set fitted !!

They are not stainless but are the correct fitment. If you use them with a plastic 19m socket so it does not damage the nuts they should stay rust free for a while
