Fiesta ST

Had it about a week now and still getting use to it, first impressions are its not as quick predictabbly as my revo'd Leon Cupra I had before but the overall drive is soo much nicer especially the handeling even though you sit quite high up it's just direct and holds on. Looking to get the 185 kit to bring it alive abit. Not had time to get decent pictures yet(: insurance alot cheaper aswell being 20 and just recieving 4 points ):

Nice car , I wouldn't mind having one.

Are they really that bad on power? I have heard a lot of people say its slower than expected. Whereas I thought a 2.0 in a Fiesta would be more than adequate considering its weight.

The colour is a bit different to the usual blue one's you see.

I bought one for my mrs, seems to run out of puff at the top end but fine for doing the shopping .

I wouldnt say its slow you just have to use all the revs where ive came from a huge turbo kick at about 3k rpm then not much, there a good engine to tune and restrictive as standard so hopefully aiming for 190ish bhp in a fiesta should be even more fun

its around £1500 iirc for the mountune official one, but a bluefin, exhaust, filter, downpipe package can be around £600 and should be pushing near that(:

I had one for 3 months while waiting for my company car.

Was a complete hoot for a month-nippy enough and fun, but after that I got very fed up with the noise, crashy suspension and hig revs all the time.

Like the aesthetics of the Fiesta ST ...... Disapointed when I drove one though, nowhere near as quick as it should be I.e engine capactiy / weight etc didn't like the gearbox but handling was very good indeed.

I found a Clio 172 much more exciting to drive but not as nice to look at.

All in all a nice example you have there

Nice car (although slightly biased).

Get Mountune stage 2 on it, or at least stage 1 for now. You won't regret it.

Pricey, but well worth it. Gives it the power it should have had as standard and the exhaust pops and bangs like hell now (Y)

Liking the new car Spence. Whats the insurance like for it with the points? Don't know for sure but I think Ali Wood has one now aswell, at least I've seen one outside his recently.

They aren't very fast cars. "Quick" at the most, but not really fast. I got a passenger ride in one recently, it pulled well up until 110mph before backing off, but it didn't have any urgency to the acceleration. It's a very lazy 2.0L remember, gulps through the petrol too!

I went to test drive one at a dealership but the guy was a bit of a wker so left and went and bought an old 306 gti6 the next day

Had a go in my mates ST once and i do like them, however i think there are better hot hatches for the money. I think the insurance group is quite reasonable on the ST which makes them popular? (thats what i heard anyway). I thought they were well specced and make a nice noise, if not particularly quick. Enjoy though, handle very well

Will that really get it to the same power?
I thought the mountune involved cam's and a full exhaust to get the 185bhp
Just asking as looking at getting one of these perhaps later in the year

Nice car mate, I had one a few years back. I would go for the destripe, silver and blue doesnt really go. If your looking for cheaper power mods k&n 57i induction kit and exhaust flexi pipe will make the car more responsive and pull better.

Great car, I had been looking at them. I'm 20 as well, and couldn't get insured on it - mind me asking who you are with? Finding a decent car I can insure is proving to be a nightmare actually.
