Need Advice on 06 Punto New Rims

I have an 06 Grande Punto and i need advice on buying new alloys, if i go bigger do i need to lower my car as my friends said i do but i dont see why, i need a second opinion.

Bigger wheels does not mean lowering.... if the rolling radius is the same they will look small in the arches, if bigger, they will fill the arches more, depending on tyre profiles....

It is all about looks and handling and the compromise on each... bigger wheels do not always offer better handling, nor does lowering... it depends on what you want.... you can stick 20" rims on with a 2" lift for a "off road" look if you wish... will be st though!
