The Alhambra has turned into an oven since the sun has come out, and when I had the rad changed I think the mech managed to lose the gas in his fight with the pipes. So I need a full regas.

I could go to Kwik Fit but I suspect local knowledge will be of benefit to my wallet, any offers on a handy mobile or garage aircon specialist guys/gals?

Chambers and Gillies in School Lane can re-gas and check for leaks, just ask for Wayne.

Spoke too soon, the aircon worked for 30 minutes. I have an Alhambra and on the bonnet slam panel it gives 2 different volumes the higher one being if the car has 2 evaporators, which mine does not as it does not have any rear roof vents as I don't have climate or anything fancy.

So they overfilled it and overcharged me for the extra gas for the 2 evaporators, there has been some of the fluid coming out of the filler neck. Luckily nothing seems to have seized or broken. I went to the garage this morning to discuss returning it for a free check as they promised but they can't see it for a couple of weeks now, this was before I worked out what had happened.

Not a happy customer and I would probably have been better off taking it to Kwik Fit ironically, however I am sure Wayne will sort it in due course as he seems a decent chap, just a shame that I had to work it out for myself instead of them doing the job correctly. When it's sorted I will report back.

I had some problems with the aircon in my nissan xtrail last week. Broken pipe + hole in base of rad + (naturally) needed a re-gas.

All now fixed by the clever chaps at Ware Garages. Not too far from you if you need a second opinion.

Ok now regassed it turns out there was no gas in there, it had all gone. Working perfectly with the correct quantity in there, the garage looked for leaks and found none. Bit of a mystery where it has all gone.

Anyway I will see if it leaks again, but at the moment its working very well. Will keep the aircon on all the time. Wayne was very good at sorting it and I may have to go back again when I find the leak for another regas.
